Limit Order | A limit order is when the user enters the order into the system with a specific price |
Market Lot | The normal unit of trading for a security — 500 shares if below Rs.50, and 100 shares if above Rs.50. |
Market Order | Order placed without a specific price; it will execute at available prices regardless of quote. |
Odd Lots | Transactions smaller than the market lot, traded through a separate ODD Lots Market. |
Margin Call | Triggered when an investor’s capital drops below a required threshold for total investment. |
Stop Loss Order | An order to sell once the market price falls to a specified level to limit losses. |
Short Sell | Selling securities owned with the aim to buy back later at a lower price to profit from a decline. |
