Are there any charges for opening an account?
KTrade doesn’t charge any account opening fee, but NCCPL charges (PKR 300 admission, PKR 100 biometric & KYC, PKR 300 annual), CDC charges (0.0036% per transaction and 0.005625% custody fee), and a PKR 50 monthly SMS fee apply.
How long does it take to open an account?
Typically, 2-3 business days once all required documents are submitted.
Can I open a KTrade account if I already have one with another broker?
If you have a normal account, you can open up to five accounts with different brokerages. However, for Sahulat accounts, you can only maintain one at a time. If you already have a Sahulat account with another brokerage, you must close that account first before opening one with us.
What is UIN (Unique Identification Number)?
An NCCPL-issued investor ID used for all PSX transactions.
Can a client trade immediately after receiving credentials?
Yes, once the initial deposit is reflected.
What is a CDC sub-account?
A safekeeping account for the shares under the broker’s main account.
Is the day trade commission charged on both sides?
No. Only one side is charged.
Is Zakat deducted?
Yes, 2.5% on dividend (unless CZ50 form submitted).
What is CGT (Capital Gain Tax)?
Capital Gains Tax (CGT) is a tax levied on the profit you earn from selling shares or other securities.
15% for filers, 30% for non-filers.
What is the KYC process
